I met up with the owner today at an event and said I was going to go find the cache this evening. Thank you for the reminder to take walking sticks I almost left mine in the car sure was happy I had them.
Using a car GPS is sometimes like using the handheld GPS just because it gets you there doesn't mean it's the best way to go, I left from Keystone and took a lot of gravel roads and when I got almost to the cache I found this nice black top road.
I pulled up to the gate and here was a pickup sitting there, I thought well this is going to be a fun evening the cache owner is here and he's going to give me a bad time while i try to find the cache. It was now dark and at that point a hunter comes up to the pickup with his bow and asked what I was doing so I said I was going on a night cache soon there were two hunters. One of them said you do know that there are cats up there I said this one is called kitties come out at night he said he wouldn't go up there unless he had a firearm on both hips.
Yes I know the cache owner says not to do to do this alone, one of the hunters looked at me and said are you doing it alone I said yes they then said somebody does know you are here I said yes, well it wasn't entirely a lie a my daughter in Maryland knew I was going to do this cache and the CO. So I took off on my way into the woods finding the fire tacks, again there were only 2 at the beginning but I made it through and found the cache.
It was a beautiful evening it could have been even better with the moon being full it didn't have to be cloudy but it wasn't that bad. It was really fun on a nice fall evening.
Thank you very much for the cache it was a fun time and I would happily encourage other people to do the cache. However I would do some research on how to get there using the better roads at least better than what I took.
Wow what a way to end a geocaching day. I attended an event, did a 5/5 at Buzzards Drop, got an earthcache, and a few other caches. I really going to sleep well tonight.
