Found it kayst found Breckenridge Mountain Multi Cache Challenge

Tuesday, March 12, 2013Colorado

I looked for this one last year and found the first stage, but struck out on stages 2 and 3 and was too chicken to look for stage 4. So I decided to try again this year and see if I could do any better. Stage 1 was easy since I already knew where it was, but I did have to search a little for it since it was hidden in a different spot.

I saw the 2nd stage quickly, but had to crawl in on my knees to get to it. Really wore me out. There's a trail that leads right to the 3rd stage now, so not too much crawling involved, thank goodness. Now I'll have to wait and see how brave I am tomorrow for the final.

I couldn't get away from the group yesterday so today was the day to try for this, before the warmer weather sets in. I am definitely NOT a double black skier, but I am a dedicated (aka stupid) cacher so I went down Mustang anyway. Took me 2 hours to make it down and I'm never ever going to do it again, but I MADE IT! And I found the cache! Unfortunately my pen wouldn't work so I scratched the letter K on the log with a stick and took a picture of the log and pathtags. I hope that's sufficient because I'll never go there again.

Such a fun challenging cache and I'm so proud that I wasn't too afraid to do it (or that I was idiot enough to try).

If the next person to find this wouldn't mind and it's ok with the CO, could you please add my name to the log with this date? Thanks.

infoA multi-cache ("multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache.
