Found it Hitman4 found T.O.M.'s Walking in the Dark

Friday, July 13, 2012Wisconsin

It was a tough decision to find a cache that would be worthy of our 3000th cache. We all enjoy night caches so this one won the honor. With the Hitman out working, the Hitgirls started this one last night. We had a blast finding all the glowing tacks. We scared up a few deer too. We got confused for a little bit but soon found our way. We got to a certain point which we thought was the end, searched for a little while but then Trooper Abby wasn't a trooper anymore and wanted out of the dark. The park was closing soon anyway so we left the rest for another time.
Tonight was that time and we ventured out a little earlier than last night. We picked up where we left off and once again we were seeing the glowing tacks. Eagle Eye Phoebe was pretty smart about the location of the tacks and she said we needed to go this way. She was right and once again we were on the trail. We were stuck for a moment, but one more quarter turn with the flashlight and the airport runway was all lit up in front of us. Oh's the final area for the cache hide.
The girls ran toward the lights and Trooper spotted the cache and Eagle Eye went for the grab. We woo-hoo'd our 3000th find and the girls dove into the SWAG. Meanwhile I'm digging in my bag for a pen and can't believe I can't find one. Eagle Eye Phoebe asked if we had to come back and after I said not tonight, she suggested writing HM4 with a stick. We didn't have to, since I finally spotted a pen in the geobag. They traded SWAG, returned the container and we headed out.
This was a very well done night cache and we had so much fun with it. Thanks for all your hard work in putting it together and TFT3000thC!

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
