Found it volksdansje found MORIA

Friday, 20 August 2010Arquipélago da Madeira, Portugal

It was a special day for us.
Last year we stay for two weeks on Madeira, we try to do Moria, but half way I get a stroke. We had luck, because a Portugees geocache team can call 112, and explain the situation.
Back with the ambulance to Funchal and nine days in the hospital.
Now we are back on Madeira and try again this walk.
We stay still on the place where is was happened, it was very emotional.
Now we walk further, the path was closed, but we go further.
We find the way, walk over the old bridge en find the entry of the tunnel.
It was very exciting to walk over slippery stone and rails, step by step we walk through the dark tunnel, we see no orcs, we found the cache quick, and write our name in the logbook.
After 1,30 hour walk in the dark we stay outside and say congratulations, we have done it.
Then the whole way back, now not with the ambulance, but on my own legs.
Thanks for the great great cache, and greetings from Holland

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
