Didn't find it JREnarson couldn't find An ASCM Virtual Cache

Saturday, 17 November 2018Alberta, Canada

We had originally planned to find this one as our #2,000 cache. Unfortunately, J didn’t read the description before we started the hike. We headed straight for the posted coordinates but bypassed the two initial waypoints for the answers to the logging questions. Then when we got to GZ, we weren’t able to find the ASTM marker under the snow. Not sure if this was supposed to be winter friendly or not. Oh well, we’ll save this for a future visit to Canmore. Thanks for bringing us out here anyways as we enjoyed the hike.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
