Found it colincactus found Challenge Cache - Fantasy Favorites

Sunday, July 7, 2013Southern England, United Kingdom

When this challenge was published a year and a half ago I remember thinking that it was nigh on impossible for me to do. As it was it took a month until the FTF went. I had another look about 3 months ago and I was really surprised to find that I was now nearly qualified - all I had to do was find a letterbox hybrid with 25 favourites.

I saw that there was one near Horsham. This fitted in perfectly as this was just a few miles away from where the West Sussex Midweek Meet was being held in June and I wanted to attend that to complete another challenge. So after doing that one I was qualified.

My 8 icon finds are:

We were visiting friends in High Wycombe today so we dropped in to pick up this cache as we were passing. The road looked very unwelcoming - high fences and loads of warning signs. The GPSr was having trouble under the trees (it didn't get down to below 8m) but with the hint it was fairly easy - Bobcat found this one. We took the geocoin and left a pathtag.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
