Found it The Wildleys found Merthyr Marathon MM7- Tragedy

Wednesday, December 31, 2003South Wales, United Kingdom

We set out for this cache yesterday, but we got a late start. By the time we reached the final VC, it was too dark to continue. We came back today to finish it off.

Yesterday was a chilly day as we trotted along the Taff Trail, but it was thankfully dry, and we had a good walk. Elizabeth was delighted with the waterfalls along the road between VC4 and VC5, and Simon liked the fish ladder-style waterfalls between VC6 and VC7. We also patted some nice doggies along the way. We took the easy way out and caught the train back to Pentrebach.

Today, we arrived at the cache site just before noon and found the cache after a thorough root under most of the rocks and through nearly all the leaves.

Took nothing this time; left a bright orange, bouncy ball.

Thanks for the seventh excellent historical walkies!

infoA multi-cache ("multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache.
