Found it ChristopherRobin1431 found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Thursday, 23 February 2017Alberta, Canada

BCP146 - St. Albert.
Mrt96 and I were out for a couple caches while the other half of my team was at home doing work stuff. we went for this brass cap with no device in hand, having previously looked at it on satellite view. There was only a small covering of snow on the ground which we were able to scrape away with our feet. After a couple minutes, we looked and found an obvious spot for it. Scraping away the snow revealed an extra layer of ice, likely covering the brass cap. T ran back to his car and grabbed is trusty shovel, so we started chipping away at the ice. Eventually after a few minutes of 'shoveling' we uncovered the cap, but we were not able to see any type of engravings on it. Attached is a picture of the cap as well as a satellite view of our location, as well as the shovel used to dig it out. Also sending another picture to the CO to confirm our findings. Thanks so much for all of the effort you put into this Virtual! This is the 17th Brass Cap CR has found, and find #1671 overall :)

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
