Drum roll please! My 500th cache was a very special one. I met some other Canadian cachers on the web site and we all planned to meet in Sao Paulo this morning. Our now good friend NandoNavigator agreed to meet us and drive us to the park. We had a great day! The climb to the cache was challenging for me because of the wet clay soil on the trail, the logs to climb over and the prickly thorns on the trees if you used them for support, But, this is the rain forest, right! What an exciting adventure! Finally there we were with the famous cache in hand. Pictures were taken and will be posted by the others in the group but unfortunately my camera was lifted in Rio so I'll have to rely on the kindness of strangers! Exchanged some TBs. Brought bugs with me that had a mission to go to Rio. They did go and I will post some pictures when I get home. I left them in the APE cache. Thanks to all who were involved in this day and thanks to Junior for seeing to the upkeep of this cache.

infoA Project APE cache is a geocache hidden as part of a Planet of the Apes FOX Promotion in 2001. When each cache was placed they contained a different prop from the movie. There are still some active today.
