We took Simon's Swansea relatives to this cache on a gorgeously sunny afternoon. We were all looking for an actual garage and were surprised to find ourselves halfway up a wild hillside with no automachinery in sight!
Three of the crew went off to view the ruins of the nearby chapel as S and E drafted in a cousin to help search for the cache. After stabbing his scalp on a few thorns (vicious trees, those!), Simon finally spied the hiding place.
We left a yellow Corgi truck and Welsh Skydancer Flying Bug TB, and we took a Ford Galaxy as a replacement for Simon's uncle's real Ford Galaxy, whose gearbox had conked out that very morning.
To answer the placement question, yes, we felt very safe here at around 3pm on an August Sunday. The area seemed clean enough, and the sheep in the field were as friendly as you can expect from ovines.
The road wasn't any narrower than other lanes we've driven through. We think this is a spot with great views, and we liked how the cache was hidden.
