EASY find, varying difficulty.

The find was easy because the cache was sitting on the ground out in the open! (difficulty was now at 0 stars)

4-5 steps from the cache, as I notice a police car with two officers sitting inside just a mere 50 feet away. They're looking straight ahead, so they can easily see me. (cache has now bumped up to 3 stars)

"Come on Gerk, what's your strategy?" I feign a phone call. "Will they buy it? Maybe." Instead, I lean on the wall and fumble with stuff in my pocket, put my coffee cup down, watching the officers' faces. They're looking down at something. As the stopped cars (due to traffic light) go I grab the cache. (now we're at 1 star)

I retreat to nearby payphone, open cache, "Nice idea. Hey, it's Garfield!" I notice the officers getting out of their car(AHHH!), sign log, close cache, stash the container in my bag, and grab my cell phone! Start "texting"! (4 stars!)

The police are talking to drivers (whew!). BUT now they are standing on the sidewalk next to their car! "How the heck do I put this 'strange object' in that 'conceal spot' without looking 'suspicious' and/or attracting attention AND there are police officers less than 40 feet away? (4.5 STARS!)

I'm going to end up at the station house. My wife is going to kill me." (bumped up to 5 stars)

I wait a couple of minutes, thinking of a plan, pretending to do something with my phone. Now one officer is warning a driver about something... His partner walks over... They're not looking in my direction! "Come on you pudgy bastard! Replace that cache! NOW!" Dammit, NOW!!! AAAHHH! The cache is not staying in place!!!! "Scotty, we need more power!" (5.1 STARS!)

I turn the cache to better angle the magnet. "Captain, that's all she's got! The engines can nae hold on much longer!" I feel the magnet catch... I let go... Cache in place! "Scotty, get us out of here! Maximum warp!"

I stand at the corner for a couple of minutes to start logging, and see if anyone noticed. Nope! We're good. (difficulty back down to 2 stars)

Gotta love caching in the city!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
