Found it sandlanders found A Park View

Sunday, January 13, 2013Wisconsin

It has been a while since we have driven through downtown Reedsburg, and a lot has changed. Most notable to us were the nearby apartment buildings whose residents on the backside have this "park view". We liked how the design of the buildings fit in with the old yet new feel of the main street in Reedsburg.

This being a cold January day, no one was in the park. This being a Sunday, however, there were cars parked along the curb at the nearby church. We were hoping that services wouldn't be letting out while we were searching GZ in the park, and we were lucky on that. A quick once over of the most likely spot revealed the container to us, and we were able to pry it out of its frozen hiding spot. We did have to go back to the car to warm up a bit because our pen had frozen in the field. We used the back-up writing stick to get our name on the log sheet, then we got the cache back in its place to wait for the next finder to spy it or for a few inches of snow to hide it even better than we did.

Thanks for sharing this part of Reedsburg with us, Jewell's Jewels!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
