Found it KinderKen found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Thursday, 05 November 2015Alberta, Canada

BCP704 - Stafford Lake

I decided to stop in Brooks to find this newly posted brass cap. I surveyed the situation and could spot no cap nor any depression close to the posted coordinates. I then had to leave to have a tire checked and when I returned, I used my metal detector to search. I heard the beep within seconds. So then I went back to my vehicle to find a probe and heard a clunk about 10 cm deep. I then dug out my small shovel and after quick dig, I had the cap exposed. A wipe with a rag and I was able to make out the required information. I was almost back in Calgary when I remembered that I had forgotten to take a picture. Thanks for the Brass Cap.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
