I went off to have a look at this a couple of days ago with The Bobcat. When we got there I was torn about where to search: it had a warning about caching within your limits but was only rated as terrain=1.5. Also the height specified for the final co-ordinates seemed to be 7 metres below the ground according to my GPS.

It had been raining so I had a cursory look for possible hiding places high above me, but spent most of my half hour there looking around at ground level in the hope that it really was a T=1.5. I emailed the cache owner questioning the rating and he upgraded it to T=3 and removed the height indicator.

I'd spent the day gardening today, and decided to reward myself with some geocaching. This one still appeared to be unfound so we decided to have another go. I had a good idea of where I ought to be looking but even so there are a lot of possible places to search. I gradually escalated the dangerousness of where I was searching and scared myself on a couple of occasions (hmm "promotion is via assassination" in Mirror Mirror he said - perhaps his aim is to climb up the geocaching charts by killing his rivals).

I nearly gave up at one point and then spotted somewhere I hadn't looked before - and there was the cache. Signed the log, followed the instructions and took the FTF certificate. This should be higher than a T=3 in my opinion as the places I searched were scarier than others I've done. Fun though.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
