Found it van der Decken found Brass Cap Cache- Smith-Dorrien Rd (Locked)

Sunday, 18 August 2013Alberta, Canada

N 52° 57.574 W 114° 01.444

BCP619 - Westerose
Elev. 882 metres

On the way home this evening a made a "little" detour to go by this cap. I was able to find good parking just to the west and south off Range Road 11. There's quite a little geotrail leading across the ditch to this one. Someone even laid out a bunch of small stakes across the possibly wet bit; nice!

The cap is indeed quite a bit below ground level but it's been professionally dug out and exposed. The cap surface is very, very battered and even in a close-up it's difficult to make out even a few numbers.

Thanks for the cap, outforthehunt.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
