Found it Lacknothing found Real Gone | Clang Boom Steam

Wednesday, August 7, 2013Wisconsin

I have been working on this one for longer than I care to admit. Truth be told it has been on and off the pile for about three years now. Just could not get a handle on it at all. A couple of weeks ago, I put it before the Hitwoman and told her to take a look. She immediately saw something that I had completely missed. Duh. So with this information, we decided to thoroughly search several areas to find the three elusive WP's. First visit to each of these areas - resulted in three strikeouts. Bah humbug. So gave it a few days rest and then we thought we had picked up some other useful information from past logs. Back we went to recheck these areas and we still came up empty handed. Really? Are we off track? Or do we just need to wait for our train to come in? We were not sure what else to try and wouldn't you know that I got an e-mail from another cacher who was having the same lack of success as we were. We set up a rendezvous - the three of us - and we searched area number one and found NOTHING. So we decided to research area #2. A lot of theories....but finally, pulda1 put his hands on steam! No way! I checked every place but there! However, no worries because now we were EXCITED! Off to the third area and had boom within seconds. I never thought to look there. Seriously....I thought that we lacked nothing.....Back to the first area now that we had a better idea of what we needed to find. Nothing there....nothing, nothing, nothing....pretty sure clang is not where it should be. However, we now had enough information to determine the location of the final...And at long last - about three years later, I am able to log this one with a smiley. A fabulous multi - well done all around. Thanks for the well done cache. Loved the final.

infoA multi-cache ("multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache.
