#5052, cache 13 of 14 today, geostreak Day #292.

I had a grand day out caching with Kitty!! and Mr Crow around Cliffe and Cliffe Woods today, plus going for a couple of high DT grid-fillers elsewhere in Kent. We signed all the caches as Team CCK or CCK to save space.

This cache was the main reason for our foray into Kent today. It would be a new DT grid combo for all three of us. Having done some armchair research we thought it would be within our capabilities, and have been meaning to tackle it for a few months, but today proved to be the perfect day to do so.

The sun was shining and there was a lovely cooling breeze blowing as we walked to the cache. It was quite a way from the nearest parking but we didn't mind. Once we neared GZ we were a bit apprehensive about our best approach. From the north, things looked a bit daunting. But doing a circuit of the structure soon showed us a much more feasible way in.

Kitty went up first, followed by the Crow, with me bringing up the rear. Kitty had the box in hand before I was even inside! We breathed a sigh of relief, signed the log and I went up to replace the cache and we posed for a few pictures before descending once more for a celebratory cupcake, which Kitty had thoughtfully brought along!

Thanks for bringing us out here, it's a wonderful view and somewhere we would not otherwise have visited. A fave, for sure.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
