BCP496 - Utopia Mountain

Joci and I checked out the Utopia Mountain Trail yesterday morning and were pleasantly surprised with our findings. The trailhead is well marked and the initial pathway paved to the old aquacourt facility. Past the old aquacourt there is a boardwalk and bridge to take you across the creek and onto the trail leading to the mountain.

The trek to the top of Utopia Mountain is quite straight forward, but we decided to not take on the challenge with a steady rain in the area and no sign of clearing skies.

We will return in a couple of weeks to complete this interesting scramble. Check out a few of our pictures.

BTW, I suspect this is a surveyor's dream cap with the hot springs waiting below after a hard day on the job.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
