Found it The Wildleys found Merthyr Marathon MM4 - Hand of Crawshay

Sunday, November 23, 2003South Wales, United Kingdom

Headed north for the fourth in the Merthyr Marathon series today. We're beginning to wonder if there will be a medal awarded at the end.

Paused briefly at MM2 to nab a snippet of information before heading to the first VC of MM4 -- a lovely, warm locale. (We were sad to leave; today was cold!) Admired the canal fragments at the second VC, and ogled ourselves silly at the third.

Found the ammo box intact and dry, with little effort (although Simon wonders how much cat is in the Owl and Seahorse, as he has a good collection of scratches by now!).

Took the useful bird book. Left a squishy friend for Eeyore and a fish pencil topper.

Thanks for yet another interesting and educational Historical Walkies! We will definitely be back at VC1 at some point to explore in greater depth.

infoA multi-cache ("multiple") involves two or more locations, the final location being a physical container. There are many variations, but most multi-caches have a hint to find the second cache, and the second cache has hints to the third, and so on. An offset cache (where you go to a location and get hints to the actual cache) is considered a multi-cache.
