What a challenging cache puzzle to solve! Screamin' Mimi 60 and I were scratching our heads for a long time over this one...was great to find the solution the night before heading to Appleton for the 12-12-12 events. Made an effort to claim this one as a milestone cache...posted a pic of one of my smileys in the snow illustrating it. After arriving at GZ and entering the bowels of Applelton, we made an extensive search for the cache without any luck...managed to find a bat that had found a home for the winter though...that always sends a few chills up the spine. Thanks for allowing me to replace the container that was apparently missing and for another great adventure...am adding another favorite point. TFTC

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
