I think it was in 2010 that I first heard of the Jasmer challenge and started filling in some of the easier holes in my grid. In 2011 I took it a bit more seriously and I got down to eight squares outstanding, that being the best that could be done within the United Kingdom. No progress in 2012, so come 2013 I decided I really must get on with it. After much preparation I, and my best mate WhiteFriar, were on our way to the cradle of GeoCaching for some of the oldest caches in the world (and a few others).
A glorious day, warm and sunny with not a hint of rain. Possibly a little on the hot side but nothing we could not cope with. This is the day we got to plug some major holes in the Jasmer grid and visit some Geocaching history.
Final cache of the day but I particularly wanted to get this one. Significantly over qualified! http://www.15ddv.me.uk/geo/chal/usa_challenges.html#02
