Found it uws22 found Omaha Beach

Wednesday, August 7, 2013Basse-Normandie, France

A few weeks ago, I decided to celebrate my 4000th cache somewhere memorable - I just wasn't sure where. My first thought was in Paris, but as we continued our trip, I delayed finding caches to make the find here. It was well worth the wait. We actually delayed booking our tour - yet it worked out in our favor... the only spots available were for a more extensive tour with even more locations. As I walked the beach, images from movies flashed through my head while their sound filled my ears. I still cannot fully describe visiting all of the amazing locations we saw today. I know my photos will not do this place justice, but at least they will always keep this experience fresh in my mind.
