A few weeks ago, I decided to celebrate my 4000th cache somewhere memorable - I just wasn't sure where. My first thought was in Paris, but as we continued our trip, I delayed finding caches to make the find here. It was well worth the wait. We actually delayed booking our tour - yet it worked out in our favor... the only spots available were for a more extensive tour with even more locations. Having a history degree, I have grown up with a love of locations like this. I never dreamed I would step foot at this particular place, however. As I walked the beach, images from movies flashed through my head while their sound filled my ears. I still cannot fully describe visiting all of the amazing locations we saw today. I know my photos will not do this place justice, but at least they will always keep this experience fresh in my mind.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.
