4TF

Explorer 145 covers my home turf so this was a challenge I expected to qualify for.

When the cache was published last week I ran the macro on my GSAK database and it came back with a total of only 83. However I soon spotted that I'd been filtering it to only show puzzles. I ran it again on the full database and this time it told me I'd found 168. I live right in the middle of this map so 168 isn't very impressive at all.

I'd had the day off work today, and it looked like it was going to be a nice evening as the rain had just stopped, so I suggested to Bobcat that we pick it up tonight. Our journey to Wood Street was accompanied by a rainbow in the sky ahead. I parked up and almost fell into the trap that some others have of going to the dummy co-ordinates. Fortunately Bobcat was on the ball and we went to the right place.

We had a nice walk in an area that I was once very familiar with. Thus I could show Bobcat a field where we used to graze some cattle (the grazing rights of which included the local football pitch).

Just as we were about to start our search at the GZ a muggle dog walker turned up - surprising in such a remote area. We stood scanning the area for likely looking trees while waiting for her to pass, and the first one we tried turned up trumps.

Took the 4TF certificate and the tiger, and left a toy car

Uploaded my results. I was very impressed with the macro by the way - well done PPP

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
