Found it colincactus found Collecting Counties Challenge - Unknown 10

Sunday, December 16, 2012South East England, United Kingdom

This is the only one of the Counties Challenges that I qualify for (I think my wife would divorce me if I tried to do the whole of England one).

Last night I went through my list of puzzle caches to see which counties I had. It didn't take long to find ten, so for fun I decided to see what would happen if I restricted myself to just my list of FTFs. I saw I had one day with 3 FTFs in different counties, and managed to find nine in all (so just missed the full set).

Here's my list:
Berkshire Condor found 15-Jan-10 ftf
Surrey Killer #5: Burned Alive found 11-Sep-10 ftf
Kent Pete's Puzzle 2 found 11-Sep-10 ftf
East Sussex CSB 57 76 found 11-Sep-10 ftf
Wiltshire 1b0 118 found 19-Feb-11 ftf
Hampshire Sonnet Mashup found 02-Mar-11 ftf
West Sussex The Grand Old Duke of York found 07-May-11 ftf
London Shake it found 25-Feb-12 ftf
Bucks Challenge cache - Do You Know Other Cachers found 26-Feb-12 ftf
Somerset There are Warnings of Gales......... found 04-Aug-11

I had to dash into Guildford this afternoon for some Xmas shopping so this was a welcome diversion. There were quite a few possibilities to search, loads of fallen leaves disguising them and a GPS that wasn't being very helpful, so it was with relief when I finally found it. Searching is the most important part of this pastime but its something I'm really not good at.

infoA Mystery Cache is the “catch-all” of cache types, this form of cache can involve complicated puzzles you will first need to solve to determine the coordinates. The only commonality of this cache type is that the coordinates listed are not of the actual cache location but a general reference point, such as a nearby parking location. Due to the increasing creativity of geocaching this becomes the staging ground for new and unique challenges.
