BCP594 - The Engagement Cap

After the short walk to Horseshoe Dam Cap earlier in the morning, I decided to check out the new engagement cap in Banff. I parked in the lot normally used to access Tunnell Mountain and enjoyed the 100 metre or so walk to the cap site.

While the cap is sitting out on the roadway it shows surprisingly little wear. I positioned the GPS, took the money shot, and quickly headed back to the parking area. I had the good fortune of running into Count Smiley and Mr. CanoeHead in the parking area, and we shared a few capping moments before hitting the trail.

Thanks OFTH for this nicely positioned cap, congrats to the BVPete's on the anniversary of their engagement, and it was great seeing Mr. CanoeHead and Count Smiley again on the cap trail.

BTW, that photo of the BVPete's must have recently been taken - congrats and we'll see you on the trail!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
