BCP409: Battle River

You have to zoom in pretty close on the Topo maps to even notice that a road runs right by this cap -- I was thinking this one would involve a bit of a walk. The Nuvi insisted on trying to route me onto Township Road 400b, which is really nothing more than a couple of goat trails. If I still had the Liberty I likely would have followed that route just to see where it goes, but the G35X lacks the clearance necessary, plus I had my patented "Mrs. DanOCan Common Sense Unit" with me which warned me that what I was thinking of doing was a bad idea. I turned around and followed the much better (and more logical!) Twp Rd 400a. Quick run up the hill to snag this one from the summit...

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
