Found it The Wildleys found CC23 Manmoel Beeches (SVW1)

Saturday, May 21, 2005South Wales, United Kingdom

Today, we trekked the Sirhowy Valley Walk from Manmoel to Ynysddu. Our friend, Gilles, bravely accompanied us through a day filled with sun and showers, barbed wire and bluebells.

We left Gilles's car near the Ynysddu Hotel and drove north to Manmoel, which is indeed a beautiful oasis. We parked in the village and set out at 10.45 up the road to the first cache of the SVW subseries. Along the way, we passed a pen of lambs having their ears notched: very unpleasant to witness, but more bloody than bleaty. The farmers didn't seem happy to see us, and we can't say we were happy to see them.

Elsewise, it was a lovely morning, all tranquil and green. The huge, leafy beeches were quite a sight to behold. We found the cache after a minor search. Gilles liberated the gecko, and we left a set of mini erasers and Streetracer Roy TB in its place.

Thanks for this very lovely cache!

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
