Because of many circumstances that I couldn't influence I got 4 years behind in the logging of Geocaches. In the meantime the logging has split into 3 parallel branches, so that I could keep up with more recent geocaches, while the oldest streak of unlogged caches got older every day (about half of the geocaches found are already archived, but fortunately I got photos of every cache, so if there is ever any doubt, I can send photoproof).
This batch of unlogged Geocaches is actually my first stay in Finland where I got as a student through Erasmus system for 4 months. During my stay in Finland I found exactly 550 caches (116 on a trip to Turku and the rest around Oulu). Since I bought a bike for easier travelling, I got everywhere in Oulu by bike or by walking, travelling 1572.219 km in total and reaching many interesting and hidden places.
I have assembled a photomap from my tracklogs (slightly censored) here: http://geobagr.xf.cz/oulu/oulumap.html
Even though it has been already 4 years, this stay in Finland was the best part of my life so far. Finland is an amazing country with all the cold weather, ice, snow, darkness, revontulet, Metal music, sauna, birches, mushrooms, swamps, lakes, makkara and so on. I happen to feel there more at home than in Czech Republic, so eventually I began learning Finnish language and hopefully one day I will be able to move there and work there for a few years.
By the time I was leaving Oulu, I had found vast majority of all Geocaches in Oulu, including some of the most difficult D5 and T5 caches. It was great fun, staying there, meeting local geocachers at events or searching for caches together. Hope to see you one day again.
Day 118 of 139:
It was a free day for me, and for Geojartsa as well, so we went by his car to Raahe, so that I visit this city as well (it was the secondary place of our university to stay, for some of the students).
We found mostly mystery caches solved before, and one traditional cache. 11 geocaches in total.
This was the only traditional cache we found this day.
Found quite easily.
Kiitos Kätköstä / Thanks for the cache
