Found it colincactus found Coombe and find me!

Sunday, April 14, 2013Southern England, United Kingdom

I was out doing some old caches today. This and Arborfield Ford (which I did half hour before) both filled empty gaps in my "Find By Placed Month" grid. This one however was a much harder find.

It was very muddy on the paths, a pretty little wood though. I got the GPSr signal down to 2 metres and searched the bases of all the nearby trees without finding anything. After ten minutes I figured that this approach wasn't going to work here.

So I read the detailed hint again (thanks for that as I don't think I would've found it without that). I circled the mass of rhodies, found the triple trunked tree, did the pacing and turning as directed, which took me straight to the cache. Easy!! Typical man my wife would've said - always ignores the instructions.

infoThis is the original cache type consisting, at a bare minimum, a container and a log book. Normally you'll find a tupperware container, ammo box, or bucket filled with goodies, or smaller container ("micro cache") too small to contain items except for a log book. The coordinates listed on the traditional cache page is the exact location for the cache.
