Found it colincactus found Silbury Hill, Avebury (Wiltshire)

Tuesday, April 1, 2014Southern England, United Kingdom

My main aim today was to pick up Earth Caches. However I'd been speaking to a lady at Lockeridge Dene. She'd mentioned Avebury was nearby so I decided to drop in as I was passing.

I've been to Avebury on a number of occasions, but never as a cacher. I went off to the information boards and admired the hill. The recent rain seems to have made a little lake in front of it, and that in turn has led to a plague of little flies.

I took a few photos and found the answer to the question. Email sent as required.

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
