Elevation: 1104m

We weren't really prepared for this one since we were on a bike ride and didn't have our cap hunting kit. Nevertheless, when it showed up on the GPS, we figured we'd give it a try anyways.

We got to GZ and quickly found nothing. No ground post, no tell-tale divot, no flagging, zip. We hunted about a bit and resorted to the hints to find that the powerpole referenced in the hint is gone. Reading back some of the logs, it seems like this one caused all sorts of problems for cap hunters equipped with metal detectors.... not good. Before leaving, we kicked at a few bare spots and one of them offered a little resistance. We located a small twig and used it to remove some dirt and soon uncovered the prize! Sometimes you just get lucky! The cap is fairly beat up and about 5-7cm below grade, but I think we got a pretty decent picture anyways. TFTBC!!

infoA virtual cache is a cache that exists in a form of a location. Depending on the cache "hider," a virtual cache could be to answer a question about a location, an interesting spot, a task, etc. The reward for these caches is the location itself and sharing information about your visit.

Because of the nature of these geocaches, you must actually visit the location and acquire the coordinates there before you can post. In addition, although many locations are interesting, a virtual cache should be out of the ordinary enough to warrant logging a visit.

Virtuals are now considered waymarks on Waymarking.com.
