I actually got this little book on our way out of the park after a long day of sun and fun. I was buying something else and saw this and thought it would make a cute trackable. I was thinking that as it made it's way around, those who grabbed it could enter their geo-name and favorite Disney character on the pages inside. It wasn't until I got home and opened it that I noticed the "autographed" part. Sure enough, every page inside had a Disney character signature. So, that plan out the window. THE MISSION of this little book now is to make it's way into the hands of Disney-Lovers everywhere. Maybe you'll flashback to your youth for a while. And since you can't write in the book, please write your favorite Disney character in your log entry for this trackable. Bonus points if you add WHY they're your favorite character.
About This Item
Anyone who knows me, knows that the minute you say Disney, I turn into a 12 year old again. I was born in the same year that Walt Disney World opened in Orlando, and I grew up about an hour north of it, so I got to go a LOT over the years, starting as a toddler. Spoiled! I admit it! Anyway, after I moved away, I would try to go for a day when I visited home or my friends in SoCal for the next best thing: Disneyland.
On May 21st, 2014, my friends and I were at the Magic Kingdom. Since I've just moved back to Florida, I'd been harassing them to go and they finally caved! It had to have been at least 15 years since I had been there and I wanted desperately to see the new Fantasyland with the Beast's castle from "Beauty and the Beast" (we were their 'guests' for lunch in the Beast's ballroom), then we went to Gaston's Tavern for LaFou's Brew (yum!) when who should I run into but Gaston himself. We flirted and joked for a bit, but he thought he had a much longer line of women than he actually did. Leave it to that arrogant man to stand outside a ladies room for attention! Ha, ha!
I had actually two favorite characters on my hit list to see. We had given up any possibility of seeing Elsa and Anna from "Frozen" (seriously...people had Fast-Passed them a month in advance!), but I really wanted to see Flynn Rider from "Tangled" (my name is Flynn and I was hoping Rapunzel would photo-bomb us), but I was told he's rarely out. The other was Merida from "Brave", who is the princess most like me... red hair (of course!), tomboy, loves her horse Angus and archery, and didn't need a prince to make her story have a happy ending. I did actually get to see her, and she was adorable.
