Joanna the Jaguar

20/4/17: Thank you for helping Joanna the Jaguar reach her natural habitat so quickly. Now she is back in Europe we would love to visit her, if she could get to South-West England before she continues on her way...Thanks for the great photos too!

Joanna the Jaguar would like to reach her natural habitat...

Photos of Joanna and the cachers and creatures she meets on her journey would be much appreciated by us domesticated cats, especially the kittens!

Joanna is an aluminium trackable tag with a small plastic jaguar attached. Her unique identification number is etched on her back and she carries with her a small keyring that explains her mission to those geocachers who don't have instant internet access out in the wilderness.
 

ENDANGERED?

"The jaguar is a near threatened species and its numbers are declining. Threats include loss and fragmentation of habitat. While international trade in jaguars or their parts is prohibited, the cat is still frequently killed by humans, particularly in conflicts with ranchers and farmers in South America."

Please help Joanna survive by not leaving her in your backpack/pocket for more than 2 weeks and that way she is less likely to tear her way out!
