Rodilhas Travel Bug II

 

 PT: As "Rodilhas" ou "Sogras" são pequenas "almofadas" de forma circular, abertas no centro. Eram utilizadas por mulheres, que as utilizavam para transportar  à cabeça, os cântaros de água ou cestas. Os materiais utilizados na sua confecção, são tiras de trapos, lãs e linhas de bordar, entrançadas e bordadas. Hoje em dia, este tipo de peças é também usado para decoração.

EN: The "Rodilhas" or "Sogras" are small "cushions" in circular form, open in the center. They were used by women who used them to carry the head, water pitchers and baskets. The materials used in their manufacture, are strips of rags, wool and thread embroidery, braided and embroidered. Nowadays, such parts is also used for decoration.
