Wonder how many homeless animals there are? Every year there are approximatley 12 million dogs and cats that are put into shelters. Only about 30 percent are found by their owners or taken to new homes. That leaves 8 million to be put to death each year.

This is the first cache for our new adopted dog. Pretty cool. He really wanted a chance to play with the travel bug, but he doesn't play well with stuffed animals.

Just discovered, nothing to trade. We have adopted 2 dogs & 3 cats from the SPCA. Think the best pets come from there, as every one we've adopted have been gems! Would adopt more if we only had the room.

Cute little TB. We first got our Black Lab through the Guiding Eyes Of The Blind program. His name is Dante. We had him as a puppy for a year and then he went back for training. He made it for a while but then he flunked out and we happily adopted him – he seemed happy about that also. He is now three years old and has gone with us on many geocaching adventures. We will move Merci Hope along soon.

Found this one getting his grove on in the Party Shack. Good message to spread around! My pooch was with me on this find, he was no stray but the result of unfixed pets. A farm dog at heart and a great friend. Too often I have been seen strays or unwanted pets go homeless. These animals are all loving companions and should be cared for and looked after as such.
