This a friendly competition with my wife's Red Boomerang to travel as many geo miles as possible over the next 12 months. The mission will then be for the boomerangs to return home.
A boomerang is a wooden device that was used by the aborigines of Australia for hunting. They were thrown to kill or maim their prey.
The returning boomerangs are ones that come back to you when you throw it. They were used to hunt smaller creatures like birds. Returning boomerangs are also used in sporting competitions. They are much lighter than a non returning boomerang.
