Inspiriert ist dieser Travel Bug ja vom berühmtesten Cocktail Madeiras, dem Poncha, eine simple, aber durchschlagskräftige Mischung aus Zuckerrohrschnaps, Zitrussaft und Honig ... und sein Ziel ist es, andere Lieblingsgetränke auf der Welt herauszufinden!
Wenn du diesen Travel Bug also weiterträgst, dann schreib doch bitte in dein Log das Rezept deines Lieblingsgetränkes, oder falls du keines hast, auch vielleicht das Rezept eines Getränkes, welches für deine Heimatregion besonders typisch ist!
"Rezept" deutet schon an: ich will hier jetzt nicht auf Apfelschorle, schwarzen Kaffee oder Bier hinaus! Mindestens drei Zutaten sollten es schon sein. ;-)
Wie die Poncha kann es gerne etwas Alkoholisches sein, es gibt allerdings auch noch viele wunderbare nichtalkoholische Mixgetränke, kalte wie warme!
Mit dem Rezept machen wir auch direkt den Anfang, natürlich mit einem klassischen Poncha-Rezept, direkt aus einer Poncha-Bar auf Madeira:
Man nehme:
3-4 cl Aguardente de Cana (Zuckerrohrschnaps aus Madeira)
2cl Zitronensaft (frisch gepresst)
2cl Orangensaft (frisch gepresst)
1 TL Honig
Der Honig wird mit einem Rührwerkzeug (idealerweise natürlich mit einem Caralhinho) im Zitronensaft aufgelöst, indem man ihn zwischen den Handflächen schnell dreht, danach wird der Zuckerrohrschnaps damit vermischt. Anschließend kommt der Orangensaft dazu.
Wer keinen madeirensischen Aguardente de Cana bekommt, kann auch brasilianischen Cachaça verwenden.

Es gibt natürlich Varianten wie Sand am Meer (wenn auch nicht in Madeira, da gibt es nämlich fast keine Sandstrände), so wird auch z.B. gerne Maracuja-Saft mit verwendet.

This Travel Bug is inspired by the most famous cocktail of Madeira, the Poncha, a simple, but punching mixture of sugar cane schnapps, citrus juice and honey ... and his goal is to find other favourite drinks in the world!
So, if you carry this Travel Bug further on its way, please write down in the log the recipe of your favourite drink - and if you don't have one, maybe the recipe of a drink that is very typical for your region!
The word "recipe" gives a hint: I'm not looking for sparkling apple juice, black coffee or beer! At least three ingredients would be nice. ;-)
Like the Poncha I would enjoy seeing something alcoholic, but of course there are also a lot of great non alcohol mixed drinks, cold or hot!
So we start with the first recipe, of course with a classic poncha recipe, directly from a poncha-bar in Madeira:
3-4 cl Aguardente de Cana (sugar cane schnapps from Madeira)
2 cl lemon juice (freshly pressed)
2 cl orange juice (freshly pressed)
1 Teaspoon Honey
You dissolve the honey in the lemon juice by stirring it (ideally with a Caralhinho, by spinning it quickly between the palms of your hands), than you add the schnapps, after that the orange juice.
If you have no original Aguardente de Cana from Madeira, you can also use brasilian Cachaça.
