STIELHG TB

The Stielhandgranate (Literally, German for "stalk hand grenade") was a German-designed weapon that found use in a number of versions as the standard issue hand grenade of the German Empire's Armed Forces during World War I, and later was most famously- or notoriously- the standard grenade of Nazi Germany's Armed Forces, the Wehrmacht, during World War II. The very distinctive appearance led to it being called a "stick grenade", or a "potato masher" in British Army slang, and is today one of the most easily recognized infantry weapons of the 20th century.
