Current Goal

We would like our TB to visit other schools and eventually arrive on another continent before June 25, 2003. We hope to see it back at the Let the Chips Fall Where They Will cache sometime during the year 2004.

About This Item

This Travel Bug represents the 25 students in Mrs. Smith's geography class at Discovery Lab School. You can see their feet and legs in the picture. We ask that anyone finding our class TB to be sure and move it along quickly, but also to write a log that tells of a memorable junior high or middle school experience. Include a photograph of the TB's location, if possible. Logs will be shared as a part of our class.

Also, if you are willing to attach a postcard to the chain, we would love to eventually see the TB back with a record of where it has been.

Picked it up from Cottonwood Crown. Didnt see any printout about what should be done with the bug. I will only be heading west soon, but I could possibly drop it off in Alabama when I go this summer?? I might just send it on west this weekend. We'll see...

We picked up this TB in a cache during our travels from Colorado to KC & on into AR. Unfortunately, we didn''''t know the specifics of the destination until we got home to log it. As opposed to taking it back to Denver, we will plan on placing it near Kansas City airport in hopes that a traveller will pick it up on their way off of the continent. We will also include a printout of the goal for this bug so it isn''''t inadvertently picked up again by someone making the same mistake we did. Given the timing left, I am in doubt it will make it by the 25th of June, but hopefully we can get it as close as possible.

Heading to St. Louis area where it will be taken care of. It will see all the historic sites and will end up resting close to where Lewis and Clark started their journey.

Should be placed with a week or two with lots of great pictures of the St. Louis area. The dedication of the new Lewis and Clark memorial and boat house is this weekend. It will rest in St. Charles Missouri for someone else to pick up.

  • Es Effo. Scuba is underneath.
  • Mr. Kimball was my science teacher
  • He took us on field trips around San Francisco
  • We'd go to the aquarium and Calif Academy of Science
  • We'd hunt mushrooms
  • We'd go to the planetarium
  • We'd hike
  • I liked those field trips
  • He let us observe and think about the world

Oh, a school project. I collected Scuba, in the rain, near the San Francisco Bay discovery site. In 1769, the Portola party came over the ridge from the ocean, and found a big bay in the way. It is one of the better viewpoints on the Peninsula. I'll move you down to the airport. Thanks for bug find #279.

I located the travel bug while visiting family in the Eugene area. I have taken it with me back to California and will be placing it today (4-26-03) near my home.
