About This Item

Puzzle Solving 101

This TB is not physically contained in the Puzzle Solving 101 Series Final Exam cache. If you actually do find the Final Exam, you don't need to log a find on this TB. But if you are solving this series of puzzles remotely, this TB is for you.

The only way to obtain the tracking number for this TB is to solve all nine of the puzzles in the PS101 Series, and the first six puzzles of the PS101 Final Exam. On the final puzzle page, there will be a verification question for your solution to the 9 puzzles in the series. Enter your verification information, and you'll receive the tracking number for this TB.

To record your accomplishment, log a Discovered note on this TB. Only log Notes and Discovered entries for this TB. Do not remove this TB from the PS101 Final Exam cache! Other types of entries will be deleted without warning.

Congratulations to all who have completed the series! And good luck to those who haven't ... yet ;-)

I started this series back in June (2008). I have worked on it off and on since then. I hope to have the opportunity to find the caches at some time. If you read the logs of all the caches, the final, and this travel bug, there is nothing that I can add that hasn't already been said. WOW! Double WOW! Simply the best. Phred312 Kentucky

Solved at last. Lion's Fan is quick with most of these, but it was a joint effort over all. In 1 week we'll be packing , getting ready for the long drive to FL from WI. Can't wait to pick up the caches. 😎

The solution to PS101 #9 has changed ... now the verification procedure for this TB has been updated accordingly. Apologies to those who may have had the right answer for #9 but were denied the TB code.

08rocklady & I started this series a couple of months ago in anticipation of our upcoming FL vacation in December. I was starting to get a little nervous after being stuck on puzzle 6 for over a week with our vacation less than 2 weeks away, but 08rocklady came through on that one. Now we can look forward to making all the finds in a couple of weeks. Thanks for a great series.

WooHoo, yea baby!!!!! I finally got them done. It's taken a while but it was a great adventure. This is the best (and most educational) series of puzzles I've every done. Highly recommended!! Thanks for the tremendous effort you have put forth to create these wonderfull puzzle caches.

WOOHOO! I thought I was going to die during the exam. I am very honored to be listed with the few, the proud, the die hard puzzle solvers!

Thanks so much for the ride!

No foolin'! :-) I spent most of yesterday solving the puzzles, but got stuck on one of the Final puzzles. A friend (who hasn't done these yet) aimed me in the right direction this morning and I made it here!

I will be down in Fort Lauderdale this weekend and hope to find all nine and solve the last puzzle. Thanks from a Fort Worth TX cacher!

With the proper computing power, you may have to only visit 8 caches before you can derive a set of coords that might actually be in Shenendoah Park.

On the way to Florida back in December I started to work on this series. It took many hours spread over many days (weeks?) but I finally had all of the series solved by Xmas, except the last question of the final exam. It took a while for me to realize that no matter how long I stared at it I wasn't going to solve it without visiting the other caches. So thank you for this process that allows me to record my accomplishment.
This is a great series!! I knew a lot about mystery caches when I started but now I know a lot more. I hope to actually visit the first 9 caches so I can solve the last question and complete the series someday soon.

Winter-bound in Michigan, and knowing that I spend the time solving "local" puzzle caches, my sister, "Ubear" and her husband, "Stinky" clued me into this series.

With only a teeeny bit of help, which amounted to correcting my steering on one of the puzzles, I managed to knock these off this week.

Someday, I hope to get back to Florida and nab the actual caches...until then, this will have to do.

Thanks for the mental exercise! (and for the method to log my accomplishment)
