I am happy to travel about as far and wide as possible and because of the origin of my name, anywhere with a Gaelic influence would be nice ...
The 'third in a series', Niamh's Shoe belongs to our third grand-daughter and 'follows in the footsteps' of her cousin's shoes; Georgia's Shoe and Maddie's Shoe.
The name Niamh (pronounced neev) is Gaelic and means BEAUTIFUL, BRIGHT. According to legend, "Niamh of the Golden Hair", Princess of the Land of Promise, was a daughter of Manannan, the god of the sea.
She was extremely beautiful and fell in love with the poet Oisín, son of Fionn. They left for the Otherworld where they lived in Tír na-nÓg for 300 years.
I am also carrying a message about Breast Cancer.
