Spongebob seems to think that to get to America from the UK, you just head west (he must be following that little arrow on his GPSr!!) and keeps getting stuck in the remote Welsh hillsides. I will try to get him at least near a main road heading towards civilisation, and maybe he'll reach an airport soon.
