Current Goal

Daphnia is an Irish Dolphin. She swam out of the Shannon Estuary all the way around the coast, passing beautiful beaches in Cornwall, the White Cliffs of Dover and the big metropolis of London, before ending up in Wells-next-the-Sea. She has enjoyed her time off the shore of Norfolk but is now ready to return to the Emerald Isle. Her progress will be monitored by children visiting Wells Field Studies Centre.

  • Solojärvi Daphnia visited the cache near Solojärvi. We didn't swim this time, mainly because we were in a little bit of hurry to check in to the hotel Hullu Poro, "Crazy reindeer" in Kittilä, Finland. The water was quite cold also, approximately +15 C.
