Our Annual Vacation to the Atlantic Ocean and Beach brings us to Chincoteague Island, VA. The name Chincoteague, given by the early Indians Tribes means “Beautiful land across the water”. It’s known for wild ponies, superb oysters and quiet seaside charms. Thousands of tourist annually watching the famous wild pony swim the Assateague channel over to Chincoteague Island and auction to benefit the local Fire Dept.. We love Chincoteague - from the Misty books to teaching at the Wallops Island Marine Science Center for many summers! But we just might have to give this guy a detour.

My cache that I thought was bulldozed was rescued by a friend that saw the clear cutting going on. This was the only trackable that was in there. I will set this out soon, glad it did survive.
