This coin is being released to raise awareness of bikes on the road- be they motorbikes, scooters, mopeds or bicycles.

About This Item

This coin is being released as part of the Todie's Wild Ride Bike Awareness Project initiated by Rockin Roddy in response to the death of his good friend Tod Phillips. On August 12, 2008, Tod was riding a motorcycle when he was killed in an accident caused by a left turning vehicle. This coin was kindly donated by JohnMac56 to help a fellow geocacher help to spread the word of Bike Awareness.

Bikers- please wear the appropriate clothing, proper approved helmet and take adequate precautions when you ride! Keep your lights on in dim weather and wear a fluorescent vest to increase visibility. Road rash is a sign of stupidity- nothing else!

Please be aware that those of us on bikes are taking every precaution we can to help you see us! Car, van and lorry drivers- help us by keeping an extra eye out!
