Geocaching Across The Atlantic Geocoin

The Netherlands-American Steamship Company was founded in 1873. It was headquartered in Rotterdam and provided service to both North and South America. The shipping and passenger line was a principal carrier of immigrants from Europe to the new world: New York. It became known as the Holland-America Line.

Design

The geocoin is round shaped and has a size of
1.75″ (approx. 44 mm). The front side of the coin shows a steamship, designed in remembrance of the old advertising campaigns of the steamship company.

The back side of the coin represents the Dutch engine order telegraph at the bridge of the steamship. The control handle in the middle of the geocoin is maneuverable.

Looked through the collection a monday morning at Geo-Dragonchilds place in Oskarshamn. I stayed over at his place after we drove from Geocoinfest in Eindhoven. Great company and great talking to you in the car. See you again soon!

This trackable was spotted on the geocoinfest 2015 in Eindhoven.
After discovering some new coins we decided to go geocaching by bike in the city of Eindhoven. It was a lovely day in excellent company.

Geocoinfest was the goal of our holidays, we cross France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, and Holland to come here.
We saw lot of beautiful geocoins.

Tijdens het Geocoinfest Europa in Eindhoven hebben we verlekkerd naar alle te koop zijnde Geocoins gekeken. Maar ja, best prijzig, Zeker die hele mooie vikingcoins waar we helemaal verliefd op werden maar echt boven ons budget. Daarna een rondje over de tentoonstellingsruimte om daar de verzamelingen van diverse Geocachers te mogen bewonderen waaronder deze van Geo-Dragonchild. Een schitterende collectie waar we dus even van mochten genieten. Dank daarvoor. Groet, team Bever.vw

Nu har jag kommit till insikt att jag loggar dina underbara vackra Coin med en enkel vanlig logg tyvärr👎
Jag har inte tid till annat just nu.
Inte om jag skall göra som jag egentligen vill.
Skriva både engelska och svenska loggar, sitta med google translate
och försöka få till en fantastisk unik logg på varenda en av dina vackra.
Men något jag gör är att öppna upp och läsa historien som dom har 👍

Detta var en av alla hundratals loggbara Coin som jag beundrade på geocoinfesten i Eindhoven.

Beim "Geocoinfest Europe 2015 Netherlands" gab es ohne Ende Coins und TB's zu bewundern.
Erst Heute in der kalten Jahreszeit haben wir sie uns noch einmal am Computer angeschaut und sie discovert.
