Current GOAL

How Can I Increase the Driver's Awareness of My Presence?
Make yourself visible: Choose protective gear that will increase your visibility in addition to providing protection in the event of a crash. A motorcycle helmet is your most valuable piece of protective gear and should be most visible to the driver.
Ride where you can be seen: Remember that there is no one safe place to ride. Use lane positioning to your advantage to be seen and to provide extra space for emergency braking situations or avoidance maneuvers.
Avoid the driver's blind spots. Make your lane moves gradually, and always use appropriate signaling.
Never share a lane with a car: A driver may not expect you to be there and may not be aware of your presence. Remember most drivers are looking for other, bigger vehicles.
Clearly signal your intentions to the driver: Signal before changing lanes and never weave between lanes.

About This Item

Look Twice

In loving memory of Todie Phillips! Tod, 1/3 of Team Rod & Tod w/KAboom was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident when a motorist pulled into his lane unexpectedly. This accident was needless, the driver merely needed look and would have seen Tod there. This usually happens because of people being in a hurry. PLEASE take your time and help them arrive safely! PLEASE keep this coin moving to help spread the word of bike awareness!!

Thanks for traveling with me this short distance. I followed a few bikers on the I-10 on the way home after dropping Todie off... will try to always keep an eye out for bikers. This location is the safest I've seen in a while. Good luck and happy travels!
Oh- and I dropped Todie off to pick up the "Light of Awareness"(TB29R4K)

Was really hoping to drop this guy off here, but the TB I was hoping to pick up went missing. I thought this would be a safe place too... I promise to find a safe spot soon.

Well I was hoping to do some TB swaps today and get this guy on his way, but both caches were sans trackables. I didn't want to drop anything where trackables go missing. I'll place this guy in either a safe place or a TB hotel in the next bit.

  • Pretty Much the Coolest Cache Ever (GCY5PN) Coin Coin is still doing well (I've been taking it out of the bag for pictures)

Retrieve It from a Cache 05/06/2010 Cactus Monkey retrieved it from Gimli's Peanut Jar Nite-Cache Arizona   Visit Log

This is a puzzle night cache with only a few visitors. So although it would've been quite safe here, I was worried it would be here for a long time. Will drop it off shortly.

Saw this guy has been sitting in Ian's Armed Forces Salute for a while- decided it would be good to swap out this coin for my Lego R2D2 TB (TB3EXEF). Will get it moving soon and will try to take some pictures on the way. By the way, this coin has some good weight to it.
