Current Goal

Allereerst wil ik Wiknie enorm bedanken! Ik waardeer het heel erg dat je deze TravelBug in Afghanistan hebt laten starten! Ik ben met Mark, Luciënne en Nick onder andere in Normandië (Frankrijk) op vakantie geweest. De tweede missie voor deze TravelBug is daarom om naar Normandië te gaan en daar bij de Amerikaanse begraafplaats en de stranden op de foto te gaan. *** Je voudrais d'abord remercier Wiknie énorme! J'apprécie beaucoup que vous devez commencer à la TravelBug en Afghanistan! *** Je suis avec Mark et Nick Lucienne notamment en Normandie (France) en vacances. La deuxième mission de la TravelBug, par conséquent, est d'y aller au cimetière américain de Normandie et les plages sur la photo.***A few years ago I was on a vacation in Normandy (France) together with Mark, Luciënne and Nick. The second mission for this TravelBug is to go to Normandy en take pictures with: the American cemetary and the beaches.***

Mark Leijsen is mijn oom. Hij is op 7 september 2009 omgekomen door een IED (geïmproviseerd explosief) in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan. Ik ben hartstikke trots op hem!! *** Mark Leijsen est mon oncle. Il a été tué le 7 Septembre 2009 par un IED (engins explosifs improvisés) dans Tarin Kowt, en Afghanistan. Je suis très fier de lui! *** Mark Leijsen is my uncle. He died september 7th 2009 because of an IED (an improvised explosive) in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan. I'm very very proud of him!! (visit link)

Today a RendezVous with Wiknie *** http://www.geocaching.com/profile/?guid=548de9ee-507a-4f9c-8bed-d947fdee1ddb *** was organized near Harderwijk/Ermelo to handover this TB.
Offcourse that was no problem when all parties communicate with mobile phone and GpsR on hand.
Wiknie thanks for escorting this special TB towards its mission and come back home safely!!

De eerste missie is meteen een heel bijzondere locatie. Maar wel een locatie waar deze TB hoort te beginnen: Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan. Met veel dank aan Wiknie, die hem daarmee naar toe neemt (en voor alle zekerheid ook gelijk weer mee terug). Het zou mooi zijn als deze TB in ieder geval op de foto kan met de IED LANE die vernoemd is naar Mark en wellicht bij het monument. *** The first mission is to bring this TB to a special location. But it's the location where this TB is suppose to start his journey: Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan. With special thanks to 'Wiknie': he's taking this TB with him to Afghanistan (and also back to Holland) and will take a picture with the 'Mark Leijsen IED Lane'. This IED Lane is specially named after Mark because of his knowledge about IED's and as a tribute to him. ***
