Current Goal

The Ginormous Geocoin's mission is to move from cache to cache throughout the geocaching world. It is too big to fit into most caches, so please hide it nearby and mention the location in your log so that subsequent visitors will be able to find it (ie - "left it 30 feet north of the cache, under the bush").

Please take pictures of the Ginormous Geocoin as it moves through the world, and upload them to both this page and the pages of caches it visits.

Anyone physically touching this geocoin can log it, all other logs will be deleted.

About This Item

Ginormous Geocoin

One of the biggest geocoins in the known universe. If you are going to grab this one and move it from cache to cache, you should have a strong back and/or friends and/or a wagon or sled.

The Ginormous Geocoin is 16 inches in diameter, made of cast iron spray-painted GOLD, and weighs about 35 pounds. The geocoin code is engraved along its rim (the code consists of 4 letters, 1 number, followed by a final letter).

Note the leaf placed along the bottom of the geocoin to block the TB number

  • Dropped TB at Bloomingdale Station About 122 feet from the actual cache, on a bearing of 247 degrees True, also located at N44 24.830 W074 07.262, behind a tree. Near Bonnie & Clyde's getaway car. This guy weighs about 35 pounds, so be prepared.

Went back and forth on whether to hoist this bear of a coin, and decided to keep it in play. It will fly out of here as soon as I figure how to launch it. Is it a discus? A flying saucer? A base for a flower pot? The key to the National treasure? Looks like a manhole cover to me, but what do I know?

I wish I was going to New York. This coin is an awfully long way from Battle Ground WA.

I huffed this huge coin into this new-ish cache in a beautiful location...it is about 1.5 miles each way, so bring a large pack or prepare to have sore arms...a friend to trade off with might make sense.

Glad I could help make this a real coin. I can't wait to see the logs it gets.
