About This Item

Tod in Vegas

This coin is part of the Todie's Wild Ride race to help promote bicycle and motorcycle safety. Please discover or move it but please don't keep it! In memory of Tod, one third of Team Rod & Tod w/Kaboom. Tod was tragically killed when a vehicle turned in front of his motorcycle. He was not wearing a DOT approved helmet. Helmets save lives!

This tragic TB must be liberated. He's been here too long. I can move him down to South Arkansas or Texas within the month. I agree about bike safety. It's sad to see automobile drivers not sharing the road, and some of them have a hateful attitude about it. Motorcycles are death traps, and those who drive them, especially without a helmet, take a tremendous risk. There's simply no forgiveness. I saw one motorcycle driver become an organ donor after hitting his head but without suffering a single scratch anywhere on his body. Can't help but think that a helmet would have prevented that. It's uncommon, but when it happens, it's catastrophic, like a skydiver's parachute that doesn't deploy.

Discovered on an ancient road at the YOUR LUCKY DAY cache. Still waiting for a ride--didn't have room to cary him. Happy Hunting
